In this tutorial we will be going over the first steps of setting up a new listing. Lets dive in!
Adding a new listing & assigning attributes:
On your dashboard, navigate to your listing manager by clicking the listings tab on the left side. Once you are in your listing manager, to create a new listing, simply click on one of the add new buttons available on your screen.
This will bring you to a new blank listing admin page. The first thing you will want to do is to give your new listing a title. Since this will determine how it is represented in your url, I suggest using the listing's street address.
Next you will want to start assigning your new listing the attributes it will be associated with. You can locate these attributes on the right side of your screen.
Finally you will want to give your new listing a featured image that will display on it’s preview. To do this just click the set featured image link and upload the desired photo.
Setting up your listing options:
Before you start building out your listing’s layout, you will want to take care of a few things first. First of which is your listing options. With a single click you can set the listing to be standalone -or- integrated.
With the standalone option, your listing will instantly convert to a landing page once published/updated. To see an example of this, you can follow this link here: demo.agentfire.com/2212-awesome-street/
For the standalone option, if you would like to have a back button present on your listing, you can configure it within the listing's options.
With the integrated option, your listing will flow seamlessly by displaying your site’s navigation menu and footer. To see an example of this, you can follow this link here: demo.agentfire.com/2987-agentfire-street/
Setting up your property details:
Next you will want to input your property details. This content gets pulled into various aspects of your listing (ex. the listing's preview). You can provide a unique title describing that listing as well as enter in other valuable listing content.
Setting up your property specs:
Finally, you will want to input the property specs that reflect this listing. As we went over in the Getting Started Tutorial, you can find these specs in your AgentFire Listing settings. To add a spec to your listing, click the add spec button.
Once you have added the new spec, you will be presented with a few different options. First you can either select from one of our preloaded icons -or- upload one of your own (ex. flaticon.com).
Next you will want to define what the spec is and input its value.
Finally, you will want to assign where you would like that spec to display. Preview - will display it in the listing’s preview. Hero - will display it in the listing’s header section. About - will display it in the listing’s about section.
So there you have it, you have now set up the first portion of your new listing. You will want to next follow to Part 2 of this tutorial where we show you how to build your listing’s layout. Remember to always save your progress when necessary so you do not loose anything.
