In this tutorial we're going to cover the complete initial setup for the 'Profile' page of your LionDesk CRM Account
Completing Your 'Profile' Page
Once you're logged in, from the top right locate the 'Profile' option to bring up your profile page
1. Phone Number and Texting Number
First make sure to validate your phone number -after you add your phone number you'll see a link to click to Validate Number for LionDesk Campaign Calling and Click to Calls - when you click the link you'll receive a phone call with a 'secret code' - enter that code into the box that pops up on the screen and your phone # will now be validated.
Also take note of the 'LionDesk Texting Number'
This is something you receive with your LionDesk account - and it is unlimited. If you want a custom number (which we do recommend since you'll be able to setup a number from your area code) - follow the instructions below the texting number.
This is part of the 'single transaction page' which give syou the ability to provide a page for your clients that shows a summary of all past communication as well as a timeline - go ahead and enter somethign similar to the following:
This is important as it 's going to be added to the bottom of every email communication that gets sent from your LionDesk account - if you've already got a nice email signature somewhere else our recommendation is to use the same one here - if not just make sure at the very least to add your general contact information - and we recommend a personal photo (with a nice big smile) as well. A lot of the success of our campaigns has come on them being more 'personal' and so the sooner you start drilling that into your head, the better :)
4. Import Contacts
Back to the top of the page, locate the 'Import Contacts' button under your profile photo - CSV Files Only Here! If you're importing your contacts from another CRM, in most cases you can export all of your contacts in a CSV format.
If you're having issues importing your contacts, LionDesk does offer to handle the import for you for free - just shoot them an email 'email@example.com'
