This article deals with properly configuring a city page for your website.
Step 1: Navigate to the 'Area Content' Sidebar
From here you can click 'All Cities' to view all of your existing cities and edit one of those, or 'Add New City' to add starting a new city page right away.
Step 2: Fill out the Fields on the Page
Once you're on the page, one of the first 'modules' you should see is the 'Select the Area'
Select the Area
This determines how the Listings are shown on your area pages. You have a bunch of options here but in most cases, you'll want to 'Choose from List of IDXPress Cities'
Show Area and School Data by
We receive this data on a 'City' and 'Zip' code level by Home Junction. In most cases, when setting data for a neighborhood, you'll want to use the 'Use Zip Code(s)' option and use the zip code or zip codes that best represent your neighborhood. If this is a Condo Building, many of our clients have indicated a preference to simply remove this data from these pages.
Step 3: The details
Insert URL to YouTube Video
If you want to add YouTube videos to the page, copy and paste the links to those videos here. Make sure to insert only one per line if inputting multiple videos
This controls the images that will show on the page. Please note that once added, you can drag images to rearrange them, and click the 'pencil' icon that shows when you hover over an image to add a caption
Select 'Related Blog Posts'
If you write blog posts about, or pertaining to, a specific City or Neighborhood, you can attach them and they'll appear under a tab on the page titled 'Related Blog Posts' (you can also attach posts from the actual post editor)
Set the 'Featured Image'
This is the image that will appear at the top of your area page, and in thumbnails on the homepage if you've chosen to feature your neighborhood page on the homepage.
